Well, if you’re reading this, it means that you are likely still alive in the playoffs, so I would like to offer my congratulations to you! However, just because you made it to the semi-finals (for most leagues), that doesn’t mean it’s time to rest on your past success. You want to win this sucker, so let’s work the waiver wire together and try to make your team even stronger going forward!

Quarterback
Here are your top streaming options at quarterback this week that are owned in less than 50% of leagues on ESPN.
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens vs Philadelphia Eagles.
Alex Smith, Kansas City Chiefs vs Tennessee Titans.
Colin Kaepernick, SF 49ers @ Atlanta Falcons.
Sam Bradford, Minnesota Vikings vs Indianapolis Colts.
Running Back
Bilal Powell, New York Jets. Hopefully you took my advice a few weeks ago and made sure to handcuff your top running backs, so if you had Matt Forte, you should already own Bilal Powell. If not, shame on you and now you get to fight everyone else in your league for a chance to claim him off the waiver wire. In relief of Forte, who went down to an injury in Week 14, Powell rattled off 145 yards and two scores and not only that, he is one of the better receiving backs in the league. Matt Forte had an MRI, which we are still waiting to hear the results, but since he said he heard a “cracking” and “popping”, I’m guessing he misses at least this week’s game against the Dolphins. That would make Powell a potential RB1 or at worst, high end RB2 in Week 15 and he should be your top priority waiver wire target this week.
Kenneth Farrow, San Diego Chargers. Matt Forte was a big name, back to go down to injury this past week, but he wasn’t the biggest. That title belonged to Melvin Gordon as he was lost to a knee/hip injury, crushing many fantasy owners’ championship aspirations. Kenneth Farrow replaced Gordon and while he’s an undrafted free agent rookie, he hits the hole hard (no giggles, please) and is also decent in the passing game. However, there have been mumbling that he may form a time-share with Ronnie Hillman, so his role remains to be seen going forward. Here’s my advice…place a claim for Farrow this week, but don’t play him unless you absolutely have to (my rankings will be out Thursday at the latest). If it looks like he will be the workhorse back after this week’s game against the Raiders, then you could have a potential RB1 for a great Week 16 matchup against the lowly, Browns. He’s definitely worth a roster spot in all leagues.
Other Running Backs to Consider: Ty Montgomery, Green Bay Packers. Kenneth Dixon, Baltimore Ravens. Dwayne Washington, Detroit Lions. Charles Sims, Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Wide Receiver
I highlighted Malcolm Mitchell and Dontelle Inman in my waiver wire article last week and they would once again be my top wide receiver targets this week if they are still available in your league.
Pierre Garçon, Washington Redskins. Pierre Garcon has quietly been getting it done for the Redskins as he’s had at least six targets in seven of his last nine games (or noine games as BabaBooey would say). He gets to play the Panthers this week who have given up the fourth most receptions and yards to opposing wide receivers, so I like him to have another solid week. He is about as safe as an option comes that you can find on waiver wires this late in the season.
Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings. Who would have thought that Adam Thielen would become a bigger part of the Vikings’ offense than Stefon Diggs? Not me, that’s for sure, but that’s exactly what’s happened. Per Rich Hribar and Graham Barfield, over the last three weeks, Adam Thielen has been the WR11, 27 and 27 and in those same games, Diggs has been the WR40, 26 and 49. Not only that, but Diggs’ team target share has gone from 37% to 25% to 17% to 15% over the past four games. Thielen has now scored double digit fantasy points in six straight games and can be a safe flex option in a good matchup against the Colts this week.
Other Wide Receivers to Consider: Tyler Boyd, Cincinnati Bengals. Marqise Lee, Jacksonville Jaguars. Robbie Anderson, New York Jets. JJ Nelson, Arizona Cardinals.
Tight End
Ryan Griffin, Houston Texans. I would like to say that when I look at the potential free agent, tight ends this week that are available in under 50% of leagues on ESPN, my first thought it, “Yuck”! I am not enamored by any of these guys, and unless you’re desperate. Ladarius Green is available in slightly over 50%, so make sure that he isn’t floating around out there, but if he’s taken, I would take a look at Texans’ tight end, Ryan Griffin. CJ Fiedorowicz left the game with a head injury this week and looks to be in the concussion protocol. If he can’t go this week, I think Griffin could be a decent streaming option and solid DFS tournament play. Even with Fiedorowicz splitting time with him, Griffin was still getting around five targets a game and if he can get some, or a majority of the 7+targets a game Fiedorowicz was getting, he could be in serious sleeper territory. He’s not for the faint of heart, but if you need someone, you could do worse than Griffin this week if Fiedorowicz sits out.
Other Tight Ends to Consider: Dennis Pitta, Baltimore Ravens. Garrett Celek, San Francisco 49ers. Charles Clay, Buffalo Bills.
